On a path like many artists over the centuries, I have been drawn, like a magnet, and with toddler-like joy, to special and timeless toys: sticks with bristles, pots of clear water, textured paper and fluid pigments bursting with vibrant color. I never tire of the personality and romanticism of watercolor and how pigment and water meander and coalesce into something one-of-a-kind-in-the-universe, like snowflakes or fingerprints.
If you are here looking at art, I hope your visit shakes out something—maybe the feeling of the hum of a beloved tune or the close fit of a comfortable shoe, or another sacred, unique and personal heart-swelling of some kind. If, by chance, you determine my artwork to be pleasing or acceptable, please know I don’t claim to have done anything to earn a pat on the back, for I believe God imprints our gifts, and we must cooperate in using them for some good.
Said better by someone much smarter, “God provides the wind, man must raise the sail”. (St. Augustine of Hippo)
